To reduce this risk, the community tries to adapt to their homes. This research aims to determine the influence of flooding on the adaptation of residential houses in Warungboto, Yogyakarta. The method used is a descriptive qualitative with observation, interview, and documentation techniques from both Warungboto residents and the author by analyzing homes using morphological, physiological, and cultural adaptation theories. The results found were that all types of adaptation were carried out by flood victims and were influenced by the location of the house, the status of the house, and the length of stay. Floods affect the adaptation of a residence by changing the house's orientation, adding water-retaining partitions, changing the house plan, and adding new rooms at a higher level than the ground floor.
Wahyu Desy Kristiyani Paulus Bawole Imelda Irmawati Damanik Copyright (c) 2025 ATRIUM: Jurnal Arsitektur 2025-04-01 2025-04-01 11 1 1 10 10.21460/atrium.v11i1.286 Konsep Kesakralan dalam Desain Arsitektur Peter Zumthor https://atrium.ukdw.ac.id/index.php/jurnalarsitektur/article/view/276
Title: The Concept of Sacredness in the Architectural Design of Peter Zumthor;
Case Study: Saint Benedict Chapel and Bruder Klaus Chapel

The sacredness of space is crucial for Catholic worship, allowing the congregation to feel God's presence. Peter Zumthor's architecture prioritizes spatial ambiance by engaging all senses, using appropriate materials, and harmonizing buildings with their sites. His Saint Benedict Chapel and Bruder Klaus Chapel exemplify his design principles. This study uses a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis to explore Zumthor's design concepts and their impact on sacredness. Both chapels showcase his skill in using light, materials, and spatial forms to create a sacred atmosphere. Light symbolizes God's presence through beams, movement, and contrasts, with dynamic lighting in Saint Benedict Chapel and dark shelter quality in Bruder Klaus Chapel. Materials are chosen for their sensory impact and aging process. Saint Benedict Chapel features warm wood and delicate detailing, while Bruder Klaus Chapel uses charred wood for a unique aroma and texture. The distinct forms of both chapels create a contemplative atmosphere and reinforce their function as places of worship.
Natanniel Renaldi Iwan Sudradjat Copyright (c) 2025 ATRIUM: Jurnal Arsitektur 2025-04-01 2025-04-01 11 1 11 21 10.21460/atrium.v11i1.276 Persepsi dan Preferensi Pengunjung Terkait Pengalaman di Kawasan Wisata Kuliner Dusun Pronosutan https://atrium.ukdw.ac.id/index.php/jurnalarsitektur/article/view/282
Title: Visitor Perceptions and Preferences Regarding Visitor Leisure Experiences in the Culinary Area of Dusun Pronosutan

This study discusses visitors' motivations to Pronosutan, Kembang Village, which has experienced rapid tourism growth after the COVID-19 pandemic. The revenge tourism trend increases the need for outdoor recreation and relaxation. This area initially had no tourism potential but began to develop with the emergence of culinary spots such as Geblek Pari, Geblek Menoreh View, and Mahaloka Paradise. This study explores visitor perceptions and preferences towards the tourism experience at Pronosutan View, which is known through social media for its natural beauty and rural atmosphere. With qualitative exploratory methods, the study found that natural beauty, place atmosphere, and culinary are the main factors that influence visitor perceptions and preferences. In exploring visitor preferences and perceptions of visitor experiences, focusing on activity factors influencing leisure experiences and visitor decisions in tourist destinations, leisure is another meaning in relaxation and recreation activities. Relaxing leisure activities, such as taking pictures, relaxing, and enjoying the countryside, are the main attractions. Research also shows that visitors choose destinations based on the relaxation and recreation experiences they offer. Pronosutan has excellent potential to become an attractive tourist destination by emphasizing a relaxed leisure experience and enjoying the natural atmosphere of Pronosutan's countryside.
Amirul Naufal Dzaki Bakti Setiawan Copyright (c) 2025 ATRIUM: Jurnal Arsitektur 2025-04-01 2025-04-01 11 1 51 64 10.21460/atrium.v11i1.282 Optimasi Kinerja Pencahayaan Alami melalui Rancangan Courtyard Well dan Bukaan Cahaya pada Rusunawa Cingised Blok 4 https://atrium.ukdw.ac.id/index.php/jurnalarsitektur/article/view/293
Title: Daylighting Performance Optimization Through Courtyard Well and Window Opening Design at Rusunawa Cingised Blok 4

Low-rise apartments have emerged as a viable solution as the need for low-income housing grows and land becomes scarce. In the 2024 building type design of low-rise flats, courtyards were included to improve daylighting performance. However, observations show that daylighting in low-rise public housing, such as Cingised Block 4, is still not optimal, requiring evaluation and optimization. This study examines the effect of the courtyard well’s geometric proportions, considering the horizontal obstruction from the single-loaded corridor surrounding the courtyard well. The research aims to determine the impact of optimal courtyard well configurations and light openings on natural lighting performance in Cingised Block 4 low-rise apartments. The study employs evaluative and comparative methods with a quantitative approach through digital simulation. The simulation uses the Radiance Ray Tracing system for daylight metrics based on Climate-Based Daylight Modelling and utilizes LightStanza software. The optimization results for Cingised Block 4 show that increasing the width dimensions of the courtyard well and the Plan Aspect Ratio variable will enhance the daylight quantity despite the corridor overhang. Optimizing the facade configuration of apartment units facing the courtyard well through the Window Wall Ratio (WWR) can significantly improve the distribution and quantity of daylight in the rooms.
Ghea Helena Firmansyah Putri Sahid Copyright (c) 2025 ATRIUM: Jurnal Arsitektur 2025-04-01 2025-04-01 11 1 65 82 10.21460/atrium.v11i1.293
